A servant leader puts the needs of others first and helps them to develop and perform at a high level. The interaction between the leader and their people is a relationship. Relationships either add to or subtract from a person’s life.
The following are three guidelines that Maxwell created to help add value to others.
What do people in your department value? Observe their actions. Ask and listen. Their answers will involve more than the day job. In order to add value we must know what others value.
